We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in echocardiography to help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality echocardiograms and generate ultrasound images of the heart and related structures using 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and Strain techniques.
  • Administer ultrasound enhancing agents as required and demonstrate competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
  • Complete structure reports for all exams within a timely manner and provide consultation with health care providers regarding echocardiograms.
  • Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, and compile and enter data necessary for charge entry.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification required; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification within one year of hire preferred.
  • No experience required; one year of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Tech preferred.
