Role Overview:
The Rheumatology division at UConn Health is actively seeking a dedicated clinical rheumatologist focused on patient care. This position presents significant opportunities for educating fellows, residents, and medical students, supported by a robust fellowship program. The primary emphasis of this role is to deliver outstanding patient care within a tertiary referral center.
As part of the responsibilities, the faculty member will be encouraged to enhance their engagement with the fellowship program over time. Additionally, there is potential for involvement in the medical student curriculum in the future.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess board certification in rheumatology and hold a valid medical license in Connecticut. This role is designated as Assistant Professor of Medicine and will report directly to the division chief. The selected individual will benefit from access to private office space within the administrative services building, along with administrative support. Sufficient medical assistant assistance will be provided in the clinic, and shared on-call schedules will be part of the role's responsibilities.
