Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently operating, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting water treatment systems at treatment plants, wells, and other water distribution system facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain water treatment systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collect and analyze water samples to monitor water quality and process control.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including calibration of hand-held and online monitoring equipment and treatment equipment.
  • Assist with repairs of water and sewer mains and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of plant operating data.
Requirements:
  • Three years of experience in water treatment process operation and maintenance.
  • Current Virginia Class 4 operator license.
  • Valid, active state driver's license.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trade-specific courses or certifications.
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration and use.
