Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills of individuals. You will develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy/treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills of individuals.
  • Develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy/treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.
  • Design and deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services, including hearing screenings, for individuals and/or groups.
  • Design and deliver in-service training to other staff on speech-language techniques/protocols to be used in carrying out individual and group communication and/or swallowing treatments/therapy.
  • Act as a sign language interpreter as necessary and participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide professional insight and goal planning for treatment and care of individuals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be licensed as a speech-language pathologist in the state of Ohio and have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. You must also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
