Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a qualified Solo Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Twinsburg, OH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Pay and Benefits:

  • $1525 average per week
  • Hours Per Week: 45+ hours per week
  • Solo Miles Pay: $0.50 per Mile with 450 miles per day
  • Solo Stops Pay: $16.00 per Stop with 25 Stops per Week
  • Paid Training
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Start Time: 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM dispatch

Requirements for the Route:

  • Deliver SOLO To: Ohio
  • Route: Local Home Daily
  • Tractor Type: Day Cab
  • Trailer Type: Dry Van 53'
  • Endorsements: HAZMAT required
  • Must Have Backing Experience
  • Freight: Touch – Automotive Parts
