Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Phlebotomist/CDL Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood donations, operating ARC vehicles, and providing exceptional customer service to donors and sponsors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood donations from donors, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as American Red Cross policies and procedures.
  • Operate ARC vehicles, including those requiring a CDL operator license, to transport supplies and equipment.
  • Provide donor greeting, processing, and packing services, as well as donor reaction care.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and compliance by performing daily function checks, assembling and maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Function as part of a team to ensure an efficient donation process focused on donor and sponsor expectations.
  • Maintain positive public relations to promote a professional image.
  • Complete required readings and training assignments by assigned deadline.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or phlebotomy training preferred.
  • Customer service experience, effective verbal communication, and public relations skills required.
  • A current valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
Working Conditions

The duties above indicate the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Physical requirements may include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., squatting, pushing or pulling heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.

This position is an exposure determination I in view of the fact that the position requires the incumbent to work under conditions where the potential exists for the incumbent to make contact with blood or blood components as a result of splashes, spills, and/or needle sticks.
