Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the screening and evaluation of patients, implementing treatment plans, and providing direct supervision to rehab techs. You will also be expected to build a strong physical therapy program by integrating physical therapy's role into facility and interdisciplinary treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the screening and evaluation of patients to optimize their functional abilities and skills.
  • Implement treatment plans for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Provide direct supervision to rehab techs in tasks during group and individual treatment.
  • Build a strong physical therapy program by participating in actively integrating physical therapy's role into facility and interdisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, and other professional staff.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
  • At least 1 year of professional SNF experience.
