Position Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare facility.

In your role, you will provide both clinical and administrative support within the unit, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address each patient's unique needs.

You will also oversee unit operations and ensure accountability for all assigned responsibilities.

Your duties will include instructing and educating patients and their families, administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
You will be responsible for documenting and communicating patient conditions as necessary using computerized documentation systems.
You will act as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in delivering well-coordinated patient care.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to address patients' discharge planning needs.

Qualifications Required:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
