Our General Float Pool nurses are assigned to various units including Med/Surg, Ortho, Telemetry, Intermediate Care/Observation, Inpatient Hospice, and Adult Psychiatric. This role provides an opportunity to acquire diverse skills and knowledge across different departments, fostering professional relationships and networking within the hospital. Additionally, our Float Pool offers competitive compensation along with a float differential.
We prioritize patient-centered care, reflected in our commitment to hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and maintaining manageable nurse-to-patient ratios. Our facility is recognized as a Heart and Neurovascular Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center.

Your Responsibilities.
As a General Float Pool RN, your key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and addressing the psychological and physical needs of patients
- Ensuring continuity and quality of care with a focus on the well-being of patients and their families
- Assessing patients' medical conditions upon admission
- Contributing to the development of personalized treatment plans
- Adhering to evaluation, treatment, and documentation protocols
- Supervising care provided by LPNs and/or CNAs
We value individuals over resumes, yet we seek excellence in our candidates. Therefore, we require:
- ASN/ADN from an accredited nursing program, with the expectation of obtaining a BSN within four years of hire, unless possessing a minimum of fifteen years of continuous RN experience in an acute care setting
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain it within sixty days of hire (with prior approval), including ACLS/NRP/PALS as applicable to the unit
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience in an acute care inpatient environment
