CDL Class A Truck Driver Instructor Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified CDL Class A Truck Driver Instructor to join our team at Sageschools. As a full-time instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the principles and practices of safe driving and all laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate instructions to students and assess their performance
  • Provide guidance on performing maneuvers on a skills driving range and in the truck on roads
  • Meet the minimum qualifications for interstate tractor-trailer drivers in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of vocational education tractor-trailer driver teaching or driver trainer experience, or two years of practical trucking-related experience
  • Three years of verifiable truck driving experience in the most recent ten years, with a minimum of one year as a long haul/OTR tractor-trailer driver
  • A safe driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department
