Position Summary

This role falls within the Plant department, encompassing responsibilities related to the processing and distribution of metals. The position involves operating specialized equipment and requires a solid understanding of the materials, facilities, and methodologies utilized by Phoenix Metals in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute basic and routine tasks following detailed instructions.
  • Manage the movement of inventory and equipment, fulfilling customer orders, retrieving materials from storage, unloading incoming shipments, and loading vehicles.
  • Operate industrial forklifts to facilitate the loading and unloading of materials.
  • Review production schedules or shipping documentation.
  • Transport goods stored on pallets throughout the facility.
  • Ensure loads are secured properly.
  • Organize and stack empty pallets.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
  • Utilize scanners to track material locations.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • 0-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria as per regulations.
  • Experience in warehousing and material handling is preferred.
  • Certification to operate necessary motorized material handling equipment is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity and coordination is necessary.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding written instructions is required.
  • Basic measurement and arithmetic skills are necessary for the role.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively is essential.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on knowledge and experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster good working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.

Physical Requirements

This position involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work Environment

The role is set in a warehouse/field environment with minimal temperature variation.

Shift Details

Standard working hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with eligibility for quarterly bonuses.
