*This position is hybrid, requiring travel for home therapy visits.
A Master's degree is preferred, but a Bachelor's level licensed social worker/mental health professional with substantial experience is also acceptable. We assist in the pursuit of clinical licensure.
Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in a licensable field such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related area is preferred.

Bachelor's level licensed social worker/mental health professional with significant experience is acceptable.

Licensure Requirements:
Licensure as a Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor is required.

Acceptable Licenses Include:
LMFT, LCMFT, LMLP, LCP, LPC, LCPC, LP, LMSW, LSCSW, LBSW
Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant full-time work or internship experience with at-risk populations, including individual, group, or family counseling.

Experience in providing in-home services with practical family therapy interventions, cognitive behavioral techniques, and/or marital therapy is preferred.

Previous exposure to FFT methodologies is also advantageous.

This hybrid role allows for case management from a home office, with additional office space available as needed.

Eckerd promotes a healthy work-life balance, ensuring support for managing professional and personal commitments. Candidates must be willing to travel within the designated service areas for required in-home visits. Availability for 24/7 on-call crisis intervention is essential. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is also required. Compliance with state criminal and Eckerd background screening is mandatory.
Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is highly desirable.
Successful candidates must pass a drug screening in accordance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:

FFT Therapists are responsible for conducting assessments and delivering direct clinical treatment aligned with Functional Family Therapy (FFT) principles, ensuring thorough documentation of treatment efforts to meet contractual obligations and organizational policies.

Therapists will provide, at a minimum, weekly one-hour, home-based family therapy sessions to clients with adolescents aged 10 to 17 using the FFT model, managing a caseload of 10-12 families over an average service duration of 12 weeks.

Conduct FFT assessments, including reviewing referral information, engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and analyzing problem behaviors within the ecological context.

Utilize the Strengths and Needs Assessment (SNA) at the beginning of treatment and at discharge, ensuring it is administered within 72 hours of client intake.
Engage primary caregivers and other key participants in active, change-oriented treatment by identifying and addressing barriers to engagement.

Assess family dynamics, identifying risk and protective factors for each family member and the impact of behavior patterns on the family unit.

Implement a structured approach to problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention execution, and outcome evaluation using the FFT Analytic Process.

Develop individualized service plans or update existing plans for youth/families at the time of referral, ensuring active involvement of youth and family in the planning process.

About Our Program:


Eckerd Connects' Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is a research-based, well-established family intervention program targeting youth aged 11 – 18 involved in the juvenile justice system and their families.

Intervention typically consists of 8 to 12 one-hour sessions for less severe cases, extending up to 30 sessions for more complex situations, with an average service duration of three months.

Services are delivered in the family's home, with flexibility to accommodate the family's schedule.
