The Advanced Optical Sensors division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge sensor technologies that enhance human interaction and well-being by detecting various light types, both visible and invisible. Prominent applications of our sensors include ambient light detection, proximity sensing, 1D Time-of-Flight measurements, spectral analysis, bio-sensing, and active noise cancellation (ANC).

Position Overview

  • JOB TITLE: Senior Staff Engineer
Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts comprehensive analog circuit design at the transistor level, utilizing SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis), and performing Process/Voltage/Temperature, Monte Carlo, and Mixed Signal electrical simulations.
  • Evaluates block performance specifications and formulates detailed simulation strategies.
  • Develops circuit solution concepts and architectural designs through behavioral and mathematical modeling.
  • Oversees floor planning and layout activities in collaboration with the physical design layout team to ensure optimal performance outcomes.
  • Prepares documentation summarizing circuit design performance for peer review sessions.
  • Explores existing solutions to identify optimization opportunities for future generations.
  • Reviews engineering design conference publications for innovative architectural concepts and methodologies.
  • Engages in team circuit design reviews, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
Essential Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Analog Circuit Design.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Circuit Design and Simulation, including proficiency with Computer Aided Design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing scripting languages (Ocean, Linux, or Perl).
