Assemble Quality Mattresses in Virginia Beach

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer and Assembler to join our production team in Virginia Beach, VA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in constructing high-quality mattresses by assembling various components according to company standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:- Mattress Assembly: Precisely assemble mattress components such as springs, foam, and fabric layers, ensuring each piece is correctly aligned and secured.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate machinery and tools required for mattress assembly, including sewing machines, staple guns, and cutting tools.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of materials and finished products to identify any defects or inconsistencies, ensuring only high-quality items proceed to the next stage.
- Adherence to Instructions: Adhere to detailed instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the work area clean and organized, promptly disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on assembly equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating machines, and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet production targets, sharing information and assisting others as needed.
- Production Data: Accurately record production data, including the number of units assembled and any issues encountered, to maintain accurate documentation.
- Material Handling: Help with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring they are handled carefully to avoid damage.
- Production Experience: Experience in production and assembly.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual dexterity.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and quality control awareness.
- Communication: Excellent time management and communication skills.
