Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Dietitian II to join our team at Health & Human Services Comm. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy for psychiatric patients, evaluating their nutritional status and developing individualized care plans.
  • Develop and implement educational programs, materials, and presentations to promote nutrition education and dietary counseling services.
  • Collaborate with the food service department to ensure accurate and timely information on menu changes, special diets, and food textures.
  • Conduct quality assessment meal observations and participate in performance improvement audits related to nutrition services.
  • Assist in developing departmental policies and procedures, and provide technical assistance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Dietitian (R.D. or R.D.N) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration and/or current licensure as a Dietitian (L.D.) with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dietitians.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in dietetics, food and nutrition, food systems management, food science, or a related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Dietitian/Licensed Dietitian in a healthcare facility working with persons at nutritional risk.
