About the Role:

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships. You will take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business, support all service enhancers to build strong relationships, and service multiple customers at a time. You will also be aware of fashion trends and seek information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion, etc.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate selling competence, styling expertise, and possess a love of fashion. You will also need to be driven to create, build, and cultivate relationships, and possess a strong ambition and passion for achieving goals. You will need to have excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity, as well as the technological competency to navigate a computer/iPad/handheld system. You will also need to have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

What You'll Do:

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
  • Taking an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.
  • Supporting all service enhancers to build strong relationships.
  • Service multiple customers at a time, multi-tasking and/or handling projects simultaneously.
  • Being aware of fashion trends and seeking information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion, etc.
  • Using product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
  • Maximizing individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Achieving sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
  • Completing projects as assigned, including operational assignments, such as filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
