Role Overview:
The Nursing Unit Leader will oversee and coordinate the activities of the assigned unit, ensuring effective staff assignments and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate clinical expertise aligned with established Nursing Practice standards.
- Identify and respond promptly to patient needs.
- Monitor, document, and observe vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as required.
- Communicate directly with team members, residents, families, and medical staff regarding services and plans.
- Implement disciplinary actions as per policy guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other service providers.
- Conduct RN assessments for residents following incidents or changes in condition.
- Lead and manage emergency situations, including fire and elopement protocols.
- Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters.

Qualifications:
- Current RN License in good standing in the State of New York.
- Experience with geriatric care, short-term rehabilitation, or Alzheimer’s patients is preferred.
- Progressive nursing and supervisory experience is desirable.
- A commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care to each resident.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a collaborative work environment.
- COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated, following CDC guidelines.
