Job Summary
As a Senior Care Consultant, you will offer guidance and support to older adults and their families as they navigate the intricacies of aging-related services and care options. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Consultation and Assessment: Conduct assessments of seniors' living situations, care needs, and preferences.
- Care Planning: Create personalized care plans based on assessments, detailing suitable care options and resources.
- Resource Referral: Provide information and recommendations on various senior care services.
- Education and Support: Inform families about the aging process, common health issues, and available support programs.
- Tours and Placement: Arrange visits to senior living communities and assist families in evaluating their options.
- Advocacy: Advocate for seniors and their families, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
- Network Building/Outreach: Establish referral relationships with healthcare providers and promote services through community events.
- Stay Current with Regulations: Keep updated on local regulations related to senior care services.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records in the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and educate families on the placement process.
- Understand family needs and set up appointments with appropriate care facilities.
- Accompany family members to suitable locations.
- Follow up with families and facilities during the process.
- Manage leads and accurately record them in our CRM.
- Review state reports on care providers to ensure quality options for families.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Nursing, Psychology, or a related field (preferred), along with relevant experience in the senior care industry.
- Ability to assess family situations and develop solutions based on their needs.
- Knowledge of various senior living options, including assisted living and memory care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion and patience to address the unique needs of seniors.
- Problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple clients effectively.
- Familiarity with local senior care resources and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in mobile device navigation and office software.
