Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Leadership: Under the guidance of the site principal, you will plan, implement, and evaluate instructional activities for students and groups of students in the assigned class and subject area.
  • Curriculum Development: Prepare and deliver lesson plans and objectives based on California State Standards, district curriculum, and grade level requirements.
  • Classroom Management: Develop and maintain standards of behavior conducive to learning, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel to promote student learning and well-being.
  • Assessment and Record-Keeping: Administer group testing, maintain accurate student records, and report student progress to parents and administrators.
  • Student Welfare and Safety: Assume responsibility for student welfare and safety, including supervision during passing periods, recess, and before/after school as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree with a valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service in the assigned grade and subject area.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching the assigned grade level or subject area.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform normal physical tasks, including standing, sitting, bending, or walking, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
