Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy operations, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of service to our customers.

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, supporting the management and oversight of all aspects within your pharmacy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be accountable for patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading with Heart – displaying empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
  • Motivating, inspiring, and developing Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize colleagues' strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps
  • Identifying critical business opportunities and contributing to the development of meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in your pharmacy
  • Successfully implementing solutions by leading your team to achieve specified goals
  • Adapting to change and adjusting plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting
  • Seeking new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
  • Aligning others around purpose to gain support and commitment
  • Actively contributing to a 'team' culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride

Requirements include:

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA)
  • Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
