Responsibilities

As a Guest Services Representative at Century Hospitality, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This includes:

  • Ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process for our guests.
  • Responding promptly and effectively to guest complaints and requests.
  • Managing guest mail and messages in accordance with established procedures.
  • Developing a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities, and selling strategies.
  • Handling reservations and switchboard duties in accordance with standards of proper telephone etiquette.
  • Monitoring room availability and ensuring that all guest rooms are clean and presentable.
  • Handling safe deposits and ensuring that all credit cards, cash, and change funds are balanced throughout each shift.
  • Informing management of any guest or systems-related complaints or problems.
  • Communicating with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the pass-on log.
  • Keeping maintenance informed of all maintenance needs.
  • Passing on guest lost and found inquiries to management or supervisors.
  • Assisting in marketing efforts by completing Company Tracker nightly.
  • Adhering to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures.
  • The ability to move luggage or packages weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
