Job Description

As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing installations and ensuring they meet Bergelectric Corp.'s standards and project specifications. This role requires effective management and coordination with the general contractor and/or customer, focusing on maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor costs, scheduling, material procurement, and other factors impacting project success.

You will achieve Bergelectric Corp.'s productivity objectives by efficiently managing tasks assigned to crew members and maintaining accurate labor tracking logs. Establishing project goals and monitoring progress towards these objectives is crucial to your success in this role.

In addition to managing purchase orders and adhering to bulk buy material procedures, you will need to ensure compliance with project contract document changes and Bergelectric Corp.'s change order notice-to-proceed policies. Utilizing prefabrication facilities and company-wide installation methods and policies is also essential.

This role demands attention to detail, as you will be responsible for ensuring the proper safety equipment, materials, and tools are onsite for required work. Providing sufficient notice to Project Superintendents of any crew changes and taking a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues are also key aspects of this position.

Maintaining crew members' start and finish times, adhering to meal/break times per Employee Handbook and local labor laws, conducting performance evaluations, and maintaining complete and accurate 'as-builts' according to Bergelectric Corp. procedures and project requirements are critical responsibilities in this role.

You will communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc. Ensuring all work performed meets NEC, federal, state, county, local codes, and contract documents is vital. Adhering to all Bergelectric Corp., state, and federal safety policies and procedures is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A minimum of two to four years of field experience working as a Journeyman Electrician is required, along with a current Journeyman Wireman license (if applicable). Demonstrated ability to effectively order and track materials, perform cost projections, and develop 'as builts' is essential. Strong knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge, and installation durations are also necessary.

Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods, as well as proficiency in the installation of power systems, lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks, are expected. Knowledgeable regarding the build, installation, and maintenance of control panels and comfortable utilizing Electrical Single Line blueprints is also crucial. Experience in verifying the compliance and functionality of installations and identifying faults in electrical apparatus and circuits is required.
