We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Kids Health First. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of primary healthcare services and patient care in a team-based patient-centered medical home environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to medical practitioners, including preparing patients for examination and treatment, taking histories and vital signs, and maintaining patient files and records.
- Clinical Support: Assist medical practitioners in the performance of medical procedures, conduct follow-up with patients as needed, and maintain the inventory of supplies.
- Quality Control: Perform various quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and external parties in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Education: High school education or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
- Experience: One year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience; EMR experience a plus.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
