Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our team at Liberty Personnel Services, Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our attorneys in all aspects related to intellectual property matters. This includes managing patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on intellectual property rights and laws to obtain relevant information for our attorneys.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications, trademark registrations, and copyright applications.
  • Manage a database of intellectual property assets, ensuring accurate records and updating relevant information.
  • Review and analyze patent and trademark search results to identify potential conflicts or infringements.
  • Support due diligence investigations related to intellectual property matters in mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, such as agreements, contracts, license agreements, and assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and foreign associates regarding intellectual property matters.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing docketing systems, tracking deadlines, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Assist in enforcing intellectual property rights, including drafting cease and desist letters and filing infringement lawsuits.
  • Collaborate in patent and trademark litigation, preparing documents, conducting legal research, and managing discovery processes.

Requirements:

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience working with intellectual property law and regulations.
  • Be proficient in using software applications relevant to the role.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
