Position Overview: The Claims Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing basic indemnity claims that fall within a defined authority limit, working under the guidance of a senior claims expert. This remote role entails receiving claims, verifying policy coverage, assessing claim legitimacy, and managing straightforward claims.
Core Responsibilities:
- Receive and evaluate claims submissions
- Verify the validity of claims
- Set reserves and approve payments
- Handle non-complex claims with supervision
- Provide updates on claim status
- Follow established guidelines
- Support in managing more intricate claims as needed
- Engage in additional projects as required
Required Skills:
- Strong communication abilities
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Interpersonal and organizational capabilities
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Preferred: 1 year of relevant industry experience
- State Certification as an Experienced Examiner
