Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations utilizing high-frequency sound waves to assess internal organs and blood vessels for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare examination rooms and obtain informed consent, ensuring accurate clinical histories are gathered.
- Review patient histories to select appropriate protocols and explain examination procedures to patients.
- Assess patient conditions and perform necessary diagnostic techniques, ensuring quality imaging and thorough documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to communicate patient information effectively and ensure continuity of care.

- Maintain equipment reliability and safety, report any issues, and manage supplies and cleanliness of work areas.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction and care delivery.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification required
- New graduates must obtain registry within 18 months of employment
- Health Care Provider Life Support certification required
- Associate's degree preferred
- One year of ultrasound experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to see and read information, assess patient needs, and operate medical equipment.
- Frequent communication with patients and healthcare providers, requiring clear verbal and auditory skills.
- Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment and performing patient care tasks.
- Capability to lift and move patients and equipment, including navigating busy environments.
