We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum, a leading health services company. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
- Prescription Filling: Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies, and verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with strong professional verbal and written communication skills, working collaboratively with the Pharmacist to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
- Compliance: Work with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical duties relating to the department, including data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements:
- Active License: Hold an active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience: Possess 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures.
- Transportation: Have access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Bilingual: Be bilingual in Spanish and English.
