DSHS Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Western State Hospital, a leading psychiatric hospital serving western Washington. As a Psychiatrist on our inpatient treatment team, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients with serious or long-term behavioral health issues.

• Certify the medical necessity of hospital-level care for patients
• Prescribe and review appropriate medication and treatment plans
• Perform ongoing assessments of patient response to treatments
• Develop and review release plans or justification for continued inpatient status

• Valid license to practice medicine and surgery in Washington State
• Successful completion of ACGME-approved residency in Psychiatry
• Strong psychopharmacology skills and ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
