The Paramedic is a vital member of the Emergency Department patient care team, working collaboratively with nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a certified and/or licensed paramedic to perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Assist nursing staff in providing patient care, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient environment.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Two to three years' experience in a doctor's office or other ambulatory health care setting.
- Certified EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic).
- CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification within six months of hire/transfer date.
- De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification within 18 months of hire/transfer date.
