Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies.
  • Utilize proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions, following policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling.
  • Assist with preparing, positioning, and draping patients and participate in the interventional space to assure correct patient and surgical site.
  • Understand, anticipate, and adapt to interventional provider preference and patient care variables, and contribute to updating interventional provider preference materials.
  • Complete all required documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing protocols, and image distribution.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations and participate in inventory control and monitoring.
  • Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or certification from a technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Radiography Certification and Registration (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification and Registration (VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 24 months of hire.
  • CPR - American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
