Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Behavior Support Specialist to join our team in La Fontaine, IN and Marion, IN. As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of individualized plans to support individuals with disabilities and mental illness.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized plans to support individuals with disabilities and mental illness.
- Implement behavior support plans, replacement behavior trials, and reinforcement plans consistently and continuously across all environments.
- Provide positive behavioral supports according to individual behavior support plans and provide positive reinforcement when individuals engage in socially appropriate behavior.
- Respond to emergency situations as trained, utilizing all aspects of the Mandt Training.
- Implement Relational Mandt continuously to ensure a positive, engaged, and therapeutic environment.
- Implement Technical Mandt when safety is compromised, per training and only as needed.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more 1% – 33% of the time. Be able to stand and walk 67% – 100% of the time.
- Implement meaningful day schedules and provide continuous active treatment through the ISP, BSP, daily schedules, day programs/work, and reinforcement schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Valid auto insurance and driver's license
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working ADL care; toileting, bathing, etc. preferred
- Previous experience working with clients with high behaviors

Work Environment
This is a full-time position working in a group home setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide support to individuals with disabilities and mental illness.
Pay and Schedule
The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. The schedule for this position includes day shift, evening shift, Monday to Friday, and weekends as needed.
