Sentara is seeking a Flexi Rehabilitation Specialist in Hampton, Virginia

As a Rehabilitation Specialist, your role will involve evaluating, planning, organizing, and engaging in rehabilitative initiatives aimed at enhancing functional mobility, alleviating discomfort, rectifying or improving disabling conditions stemming from illness or injury, and assisting in the development or restoration of vocational and daily living skills, fostering overall independence.

Additionally, you will provide age-appropriate education for clients and their caregivers, while supervising and taking responsibility for the care delivered by designated team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy

Current Occupational Therapy Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) must be obtained within 6 months of eligibility.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs designed to enhance functional mobility, relieve pain, improve or rectify disabling conditions resulting from illness or injury, and assist in the development or restoration of vocational and daily living skills, promoting general independence. Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers, while supervising and assuming responsibility for care provided by designated team members.

Certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required within 6 months of eligibility.

Specific incumbents in PACE and Resource Pool positions are required to have a minimum of one year of experience, with PACE experience working with the elderly or frail population. A Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred, along with NBCOT certification.
