Job Summary

The Driver/Driver-Salesman plays a critical role in delivering product orders to assigned accounts while maximizing sales through upselling and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ordered product to customers on time, ensuring all delivery, truck maintenance, and safety processes and procedures are followed.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to drive sales growth.
  • Oversee the performance of route helpers, assistant drivers, and merchandisers assigned to the team.
  • Audit the condition of all point-of-sale (P.O.S.) items to ensure brand representation meets company standards.
  • Create invoices and collect payment from customers, reconciling all transactions with company cashier.
  • Check and audit truck and equipment daily to verify compliance with federal operating guidelines.
  • Complete training, seminars, and classes as assigned.
  • Sell all products in accordance with company guidelines and T.A.B.C. (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) regulations.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Act.
  • Complete and submit required reports accurately and on time.
Requirements
  • A qualified Driver must possess a CDL license and at least six months of relevant work experience.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Good time management skills, attention to detail, and experience working with a delivery team.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Exposure to frequent sitting. May have to lift up to 50 pounds.
