Job Title: Civil Engineer - Airport Facilities Planner

Job Summary: D'LEON CONSULTING ENGINEERS CORP is seeking a Civil Engineer - Airport Facilities Planner to join our team in Los Angeles, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing airport facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a multi-disciplined team to plan, design, and develop airport facilities.
  • Perform records-research, field investigations, and stakeholder outreach to verify and document existing conditions.
  • Develop high-quality maps, diagrams, drawings, renderings, and other work-products to support the planning, design, operations, and maintenance of airport facilities.
  • Develop tools, templates, and standards to innovate and improve our processes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong credentials & experience with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), such as preparing single-line diagrams, floor-plans, and other drawings to reflect existing & proposed conditions (electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, etc.).
  • Some experience & knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other spatial-data systems.
  • Some experience & knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in a collaborative setting.
  • This is a part-time position.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or related field.
  • Professional Certifications in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with Autodesk (CAD, Revit, etc.) and/or similar software is highly desirable.
