Team Leader Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Expectations: Train and coach team members to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring great tasting/quality food, and executing on 20/20 guest expectations.
  • Team Management: Lead and train team members to ensure they are knowledgeable on job requirements, and hold them accountable to JIB standards.
  • Food Safety: Ensure food is safe for guests by following all food safety and food quality policies and procedures.
  • Brand Ambassador: Inspire team members to embrace the brand and be proud to represent Jack in the Box.
  • Front of Restaurant: Perform duties such as guest service, interior and exterior cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Back of Restaurant: Perform duties such as grill, assembly, prep, and fryer operations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Receiving & Storage: Receive and store products on delivery following established procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old, complete Team Leader training classes, and in certain states, be ServSafe certified. Requires ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English, and may require ability to speak another language to guests based on location of restaurant.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk approximately 90%-95% of shift and move freely throughout the restaurant, ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs, and ability to listen to guests' orders, operate a cash register, and read video monitors.
