About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology LLC.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to structural fabrication, including layout and fabrication of materials, application of welds, and minor repairs to equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lay out and fabricate materials according to engineered drawings and verbal instructions.
  • Apply welds per AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel and or PTTI weldment standards and WPS.
  • Use engineered drawings, sketches, written work instructions and verbal instructions to layout tanks, tank assemblies, covers, cover parts, conservator, and conservator parts, side frames and end guides.
  • Perform minor repairs to welding equipment and burning equipment.
  • Check work per drawings and pick up and move material/parts.
  • Remove material from storeroom and complete the draw card.
  • Keep weld/fabrication cell clean, neat, and safe always.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • GED or High School diploma.
  • Vocational Training in Welding.
  • Must pass welding tests.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (estimated).

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with a focus on quality and safety.

Physical Demands:

The job requires standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, balancing, stooping, using arms, fingers and hands, talking, listening, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
