Position Overview:
Cybersecurity Specialist

Delaware Nation Investments/Emerging Technologies is in search of a dedicated and skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance our team.

Our focus is on providing advisory and assistance services for cybersecurity, network operations, and system administration across various technological domains.

The role involves supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of operational technology networks and associated devices.

Our cybersecurity initiatives will follow the Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines, ensuring compliance and effective risk management.

A security clearance is a prerequisite for this position.

An IAM Level II certification is mandatory (e.g., CISSP).

This role requires full-time onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage System Security Plans (SSP) to ensure adherence to NIST standards.

Document secure configuration baselines for network engineers to follow while managing network infrastructure devices.

Conduct internal compliance audits based on controls outlined in the SSPs.

Manage Plans of Action & Milestones (POAMs) and formulate risk mitigation strategies for identified security assessment findings.

Develop and maintain an Information Security Contingency Plan (ISCP) for the network infrastructure.

Generate comprehensive and timely findings reports using client-defined templates.

Review compliance guidance and implement it within the network infrastructure environment.

Assist with metrics and reporting to enhance compliance levels in collaboration with network engineers.

Evaluate and update existing security documentation as necessary.

Analyze vulnerabilities reported on network infrastructure devices and work with security engineers to address them.


Stay informed on updates to federal security requirements and apply them to network designs.

Engage in customer briefings regarding assessment findings.

Participate in assessments of various impact information systems, including cloud services.

Foster professional relationships with clients, customers, and team members, escalating issues as needed.


Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 5 years of relevant experience.


Proven experience in Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) within the NIST SP Risk Management Framework.

Ability to maintain the System Security Plan (SSP) on an annual basis.

Experience in Independent Security Assessment and Reporting (SAR).

Proficiency in conducting security control assessments as part of Continuous Monitoring NIST SP compliance for applications and networks.

Experience in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation using relevant applications.
