Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Berry Global. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks associated with maintaining production molding and assembly machinery and auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of all operating equipment, including fix equipment and support equipment as assigned
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or program issues with Molding and AMO machines, and all support equipment; perform appropriate maintenance and/or repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair all HVAC equipment, certification required
- Troubleshoot and repair anything else that comes up, even if not listed above (jack of all trades)
- Install machines electrical, plumbing, and interface with all other systems
- Read electrical and hydraulic print to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose issues and provide solutions and ways to improve machines
- Understand PLC and RS Logic to test equipment and/or make adjustments
- Perform daily PM's and maintain the proper paperwork
- Comply with safety regulations and established lean manufacturing principles
- Work with other mechanics, engineering, and manufacturing to continuous operations
- Provide general facilities maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 1-2 years experience working in maintenance for a manufacturing company
- Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Reasoning - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
