Job Title: Surgical Registered Nurse-PRN

Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) is seeking a skilled Surgical Registered Nurse-PRN to join our team. As a leading center in reproductive medicine, we provide comprehensive care for patients with infertility and other reproductive endocrinology disorders.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Registered Nurse-PRN will provide individualized nursing care to surgical patients, working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. This is a full-time position with rotating weekend/holiday shifts approximately once a month.

Responsibilities:
  • Pre-op: Reviews patient chart/plan of care, completes necessary consent forms, and enters pertinent information into the EMR system.
  • Surgical Scrub: Performs quality control checks, prepares the OR for surgical cases, and assists the MD with procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
  • Recovery Room: Monitors patient status, administers medications and fluids, and completes paper charts and enters information into the EMR system.
  • Circulator: Pulls medications from the narcotics cabinet, reviews the plan of care, and assists with providing additional supplies/equipment needed during surgery.
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively operate the EMR and other computer programs as necessary
  • Must be able to learn the IVF process and provide necessary care for IVF patients
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with co-workers, management, and patients
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and individually
  • Ability to change priorities and manage task deadlines effectively
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and strong problem-solving skills
