Bookkeeping Biller

At MDB Transportation, we are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Biller to join our team. As a Bookkeeping Biller, you will be responsible for recording and maintaining the company's financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.

• Process drayage and logistics billing
• Process port terminals websites adding charges, chassis, detention, storage, etc.
• Process Demurrage
• Fast-paced processing of data entry into internal systems
• Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records
• Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately
• Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company's accounts
• Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses
• Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records

• Drayage and logistics billing experience
• Port terminals websites knowledge Drayage billing experience (adding charges, chassis, detention, storage, etc)
• Demurrage business experience
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable practices is required
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred
• Experience in drayage billing (adding charges, chassis, detention, storage) is required
• Knowledge of Port Terminal websites is preferred
• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data
• Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree with accounting coursework preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience required, preferably in the financial industry
