Job Overview

CORA Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Education Professional to join our team as a Preschool Lead Teacher. This 10-month position is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the assigned OCDEL-approved curriculum and promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess children's growth and development, making referrals as needed and participating in IEP and related services.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents through regular communication, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Lead and participate in Early Years special events, activities, and initiatives, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
  • Stay current on Early Childhood Education methodology and best practices, maintaining individual professional development records and meeting deadlines for program compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
  • Minimum of two years of documented experience working in a classroom setting with an early childhood population.
  • Experience working with Pre-K Counts/PHL Pre-K is a plus.
  • Passion and skill for working with children, ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and families.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and solid organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Keystone STARS standards, DHS regulations, and other government funding sources.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification.
