Job Description

We are hiring at Starling Physicians, a VillageMD company. As an OBGYN Ultrasound Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in executing quality Obstetric & Gynecological ultrasound exams as per the AIUM protocols in a timely and efficient manner while obtaining images that support the diagnosis documented by the interpreting MD. Your duties will include obtaining essential information from patients, medical records, and previous exams for clinical correlation, performing ultrasound scans, and providing direct patient care as needed after proper confirmation of study and patient identification. You will also be responsible for effectively communicating differentials to interpreting physicians, generating accurate computerized reports for the physicians' review, and verifying proper documentation in the ultrasound reporting system. Additionally, you will ensure that each assigned room is properly stocked and is prepared for smooth daily patient flow. You will assist with all aspects of sterile ultrasound-guided procedures as directed by the interpreting MD, prepare the necessary supplies and paperwork to support the physician for sterile procedures, and observe and follow safety procedures including universal precautions. You will maintain proper HIPAA compliance while maintaining a familiarity with any changes regarding technology and the safety for self, patients, and visitors. You will operate the equipment to acquire a variety of imaging results, report deficiencies to the proper personnel for rectification of any concerns, and assist with back-up coverage for any unscheduled PTO call-outs.
