- Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies to provide the best possible care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Current dental hygienist license in New York.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- CPR Certification.
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
