Job Title: Charge Nurse II

At Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse II to join our team. As a licensed professional Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, and maintaining medical records.
  • Assist in coaching and mentoring department staff in areas of clinical and professional practice.
  • Role model compassionate communication with physicians and the interprofessional healthcare team.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities with high-level contributions at the bedside, unit, service line, and across the institution.
  • Lead unit and shared governance activities, assess unit needs related to practice and improvement opportunities, and serve as a clinical resource for both unit and hospital staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Two years' clinical nursing experience with demonstration of progressive leadership skills.
  • Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification.
