Position Overview: Process Engineer
The Process Engineer role focuses on providing essential technical support for manufacturing operations. This position requires close collaboration with production teams and other departments to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements aimed at enhancing safety, compliance, quality, and overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in capital project execution, process safety management (PSM) activities, and quality audits.
- Drive improvements in safety, regulatory compliance, environmental performance, quality, and productivity.
- Provide troubleshooting support for daily operations.
- Analyze operational data and feedback to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on various initiatives.
- Develop and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate production capabilities and cost estimates.
- Oversee smaller capital projects, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Support larger capital projects by defining project scopes and gathering necessary process data.
- Identify reliability enhancement opportunities and assist in maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage management of change (MOC) processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in production, maintenance, and quality support, ideally within heavy industries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in equipment reliability and automation.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or relevant experience.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and/or Minitab.
