This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our climbing gyms. As a Janitorial Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are safe and welcoming for our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming gym and climbing area floors, ensuring they are free from debris, dirt, and hazards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and disinfect gym equipment, machines, and weights to maintain a high level of hygiene and prevent the spread of germs.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Clean and sanitize locker rooms, showers, and restrooms, replenishing supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash receptacles regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Surface Cleaning: Wipe and sanitize surfaces, including windows, mirrors, countertops, and seating areas, to maintain cleanliness and visual appeal.
  • Common Area Maintenance: Dust and clean surfaces in common areas, including reception desks, waiting areas, and hallways, to create a welcoming environment.
  • Program Room Maintenance: Keep programs rooms (yoga, spin, fitness) clean by mopping the floors, wiping down walls, windows and windowsills as needed and keeping shelves dusted and props neat and tidy.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor for timely restocking.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to immediate cleaning needs and spillages to prevent accidents or injuries, ensuring that the area is promptly cleaned and made safe.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment to ensure personal safety and prevent damage to property.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff members to address maintenance issues, report damages, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, reach, grasp, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Janitorial Skills: Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions.
