**Construction Laborer / Truck Operator**

This role offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience, with additional compensation for night shifts. This is a full-time, seasonal opportunity with a scheduled layoff during winter and a recall in spring.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Assists in operational activities at the quarry.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Minimum educational requirement is less than high school, or

Up to one month of relevant experience or training, or

A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.

A valid driver's license is mandatory.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Adheres to safe working practices in accordance with safety regulations and policies.

Engages in quarry, pit, or surface mining operations while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsible for cleaning spillage from under conveyors, screens, crushers, and other machinery using appropriate tools and methods.

Performs minor maintenance on machinery as instructed, including adding lubricants.

Regularly climbs ladders to operate machinery.

May be exposed to elevated platforms or walkways.

Suggests improvements to enhance safety measures.

Changes screen cloth on machinery as needed.

Monitors equipment for proper functioning and reports any issues to supervisors.

Completes additional tasks as assigned.

This position may require the use of a half mask respirator, necessitating fit testing. Compliance with OSHA standards regarding facial hair and respirator use is required.

**WORKING HOURS**

Typical operational hours are as follows: Sunday evenings and Monday through Thursday evenings.
