As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the respiratory department. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures within your scope of practice.
2. Safely assemble, operate, and troubleshoot equipment required for patient care.
3. Understand and apply Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines to provide safe and effective care.
4. Provide educational needs of patients on disease-specific processes, tobacco cessation, and respiratory care services provided.
Requirements:
A graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program and maintain credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Must be licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice – Ohio and/or Michigan. Current BLS certification is required, with ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification recommended.
