About the Role:
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU team, working night shifts. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Oversee patient care teams, coordinate care plans, and ensure patient safety and effectiveness.
- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines.
- Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and team members.
- Advocate for patients and resolve ethical and clinical concerns.
- Accurately document patient encounters and protect patient health information.
- Adhere to infection prevention initiatives and deliver competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- CCRN preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
