Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst - Rebate Accounting plays a crucial role in executing month-end and year-end closing activities while delivering insightful reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute complex journal entries and conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Develop meaningful variance analyses and provide actionable insights.
- Analyze financial outcomes, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions to management.
- Evaluate the reasonableness of financial estimates concerning accruals, reserves, and other judgment-based activities.
- Review the implications of new client agreements and product launches to guarantee compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Enhance and maintain documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Assist in financial statement audits and other evaluations related to rebate accounting operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills
- Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions such as v-lookups and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and FASB.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and outcomes effectively.
- Experience with large ERP systems is advantageous.

Additional Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal contract analysis and intercompany journal entries is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint is desirable.

Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, utilize hands for tasks, communicate, and hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- May need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Manager or Director within the Controllership department.

Compensation
The potential salary for this role ranges from $74,000 to $111,700, depending on experience and skills. Note that the pay range may vary by 8% based on the applicant's location.
